Relationship Issues
Having trouble with your relationships and need moderated/mediated counseling?
Rachel specializes in a variety of relationship forms including but not limited to couples, families, friendships and working relationships. She focuses on communication styles, and psychodynamic, attachment theory-based modalities when treating relationship issues. Rachel explores each participating client’s wants and needs as it relates to the relationship to best understand goals for therapy. Clients are encouraged to actively work on their individual selves to enhance and improve the collective relationship in and outside of sessions.
Rachel’s approach to couples/family therapy derives from a variety of methods including Gottman, Imago, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Family Systems Theory. Rachel provides a compassionate and strengths-based perspective during therapy, pulling from your own resiliency to balance and ultimately overcome presenting relational challenges. Together, you will discover ways to enrich and strengthen the relationship, and/or amicably and peacefully dissolve the relationship.
