Anticipatory, Generalized, and Complicated Grief/Bereavement
Feeling depressed, anxious, scared, numb, or in denial while anticipating a loss? Recently experienced a loss and needing grief counseling? Having trouble in coping with a loss for an extended period of time? Feeling intense/extreme emotions related to a loss due to trauma?
Rachel incorporates mindfulness into griefwork for clients in order to encourage grounding in the grieving process. Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Meaning Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are the core modalities that Rachel weaves into her practice when clients are faced with anticipatory, generalized, and/or complicated grief.
