Depression
Noticing continuous low mood or sadness? Having low self-esteem, no motivation, or lacking interest in things that normally bring you pleasure? More irritable, easily frustrated, or tearful than normal? Experiencing changes in your eating and/or sleeping patterns? Feeling hopeless or helpless?
Rachel uses a mixed-modality approach to treating depression, based on each client’s individual needs. Incorporating techniques which are proven to improve symptoms of depression, Rachel blends theoretic frameworks and alternative integrative practices in treatment. She uses formalized assessments as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based prompting interventions to treat clients struggling with depression.
