Cancer Care (along the full cancer continuum)
Do you have a new or longstanding diagnosis of cancer and have trouble managing your physical, mental, and emotional symptoms? Are you struggling to ask for help from your support system or medical team? Are you feeling isolated, alone, or as if no one understands your situation? Do you know/take care of someone with cancer and have trouble managing this new role and lifestyle change?
Rachel has extensive knowledge and experience working in healthcare, specific to cancer patients and caregivers. This is evident in her unique approach to psychotherapy based on a patient-centered & holistic framework. She incorporates a variety of theory-based therapeutic modalities in treatment, such as Dignity Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Meaning-Centered Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Alternative and Mindfulness-based practices are woven into therapy sessions as well when addressing the psychosocial factors related to cancer care.
